a form of venture capitalism in which aggressive methods are used to buy a distressed business with the intention of selling it at a profit `
In our case, it is not distressed businesses but small farms that find it increasingly difficult to just break even. Like vultures, the developers swoop in to strip away the land owners’
Then they fly away leaving behind the picked over carcass of our unique and previously beautiful landscape. Flying away is part of the business model. (see step four below)
